How to keep your Auctiva Commerce store open for business after the trial period

The Auctiva Commerce trial period lasts 30-days from the time you create your account. This tutorial will show you how to keep your store running before your trial account expires.

Keeping your Auctiva Commerce store open for business is really simple. All you need to do is choose a billing plan that includes Auctiva Commerce (Bronze through Diamond) and add your billing information to your Auctiva account. We highly recommend you do this before your trial account has expired, otherwise the purchase feature on your store will be temporarily disabled. This means that customers won't be able to create new orders on your store. You will continue to have administration access to your store during this "On Hold" period so that you can manage current orders and store activity. To re-enable this feature, you will need to pick a billing plan and add your billing information.

How to enter your billing information for your Auctiva Commerce store

You may not need to do anything to keep your store active after the trial period. If you entered your billing information at the time you created your trial account, you will be automatically billed for your Auctiva Commerce store. If you haven't entered your billing information or you're unsure if you did, you can follow these steps to make sure your store can continue to take new orders.

Step 1. Go to the Edit Billing Information page.

You're billing information is managed on the Auctiva.com website and not the AuctivaCommerce.com website.

  • Go to Auctiva.com and log in using your Auctiva username and password. Your username and password are not necessarily the same username and password you use to log in to your store administration.
  • Hover your mouse over the My Account tab and click on the Billing link.
  • If you have a credit card on file, a message will display the last 4-digits of the account. This message displays just above the "Edit" buttons.
  • Click on the "Edit my Credit Card Information" button. The Billing Settings page will load.

Step 2. Edit Billing Information.

  • Credit Card Number: Enter a Visa or MasterCard credit card number.
  • Expiration: Select the expiration date for your credit card account.
  • CVV: Enter the security number assigned to your credit card. This is a 3-digit number on the back of the credit card.
  • First Name: Enter your first name as it appears on the credit card.
  • Last Name: Enter your last name as it appears on the credit card.
  • Company: Enter the Company Name if this is card is associated with a business account.
  • Address: Enter the address associated with this credit card account.
  • City: Enter the City associated with this credit card account.
  • Country: Choose your Country from the drop-down box.
  • State/Province: Choose your State/Province from the drop-down box.
  • Zip/Postal Code: Enter the Zip/Postal Code.
  • Click on the Save Settings button to add this credit card to your file.

Your account will now be automatically billed. You can view your monthly bill by clicking on the My Account tab. The My Account page will load and your Billing Summary will appear at the top of the page.

If you account has had the purchase feature disabled, it will be immediately enabled after the billing information is correctly entered.

NOTE: You can also pay with your PayPal account from this page if desired.

NOTE: If you opened your store after April 3, 2012 use the following instructions to convert to a paid account.

  • In your Auctiva Commerce merchant admin navigate to Admin, Account, Plan Info. Click on the plan you would like to subscribe to and click on the Subscribe button. You will need to enter a credit card to complete this action. NOTE: Upon completion your free trial will end and your store will immediately convert to a paid store.
