How to create a "Sales by Customer" report

Auctiva Commerce allows you to create a report that will list the top customers that purchase on your store. This is a good method for finding which customers are repeat and loyal shoppers on your storefront. It can also show you which customers spend the most. This tutorial will show you how to create a "Sales by Customer" report.

What is a "Sales by Customer" report?

The "Sales by Customer" report returns a list of the top customers by sales (i.e., order count, order total). You can order the list of top customers by the total number of orders that the customer has placed. This is a good way to comprise a list of the most frequent buyers from your store. You can also order the list of top customers by the total order amount per customer. This is a good way to comprise a list of the customers who spend the most on your store. The "Sales by Customer" report can be limited by a time period so that you can view results for various increments of time.

How to create a "Sales by Customer" report

Creating this report will return a list of customer emails (i.e., customer user IDs). You can click on the customer's email in this report to view the user information specific to this user.

Step 1. Create the report.
  • Go to Reports> Customers> Sales by Customer. This will load the "Sales by Customer" report.
  • Time Period: Choose the time period for this report. The customer email addresses will appear. If no customers appear in the report, then you have not recorded any orders in this time period. Change the Time Period field to find results for the report.
  • Email: The Email column represent each customer email address. You can click on this address if you want to view more details about this specific user.
  • Order Count: The Order Count column displays the total amount of orders that have been recorded for this user. You can click this column to sort the customers by this field.
  • Order Total: The Order Total column displays the total amount of all the orders placed by this user. You can click on column to sort users by this field.

This completes the task of creating a "Sales by Customer" report.
